Ethical Leadership Fellows Program

Ethical Leadership Fellows began in Fall 2022, to support students who are motivated to make a positive impact at Guilford and beyond. There are two goals of this program:

1. Nourish and develop students’ ethical compass and their holistic growth in their chosen fields and interests.

2. To use their interests and strengths to make a positive impact on campus and wider community.

What do students do in this program?

What you do is largely up to you! But there is a structure in place to outline expectations of ELFs. These include:

  1. An orientation for first-year ELFs in August before other first year students arrive

  2. 140 hours of campus or community leadership a semester. This could include community service, club leadership, planning campus events, as well as ELF meetings and leadership development trainings. You choose where you lead for the bulk of these hours.

  3. A series of courses, in Ethical Leadership, Ethics, and a senior capstone 1-credit course to prepare for your post-Guilford steps and your senior Ethical Leadership capstone project.
